Tribe TV is India’s first Santali language TV channel. Santali, also known as Santal, is the most widely spoken language of the Munda subfamily of the Austroasiatic languages, related to Ho and Mundari. Santali language is spoken mainly in the Indian states of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Odisha, Tripura, and West Bengal states.
This channel is owned by Kalyani Solvex Private Limited. Tribe TV’s co-founder is MLA Krishna Kalyani by Bharatiya Janata Party, but after he joined the All India Trinamool Congress.
