The Buddhist is Sri Lanka’s first free-to-air Buddhist television channel, launched on 29 June 2007 by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva and the Chief Priest of the Asgiriya Chapter in Sri Lanka. The objective of this channel is to broadcast valuable religious and cultural programs in the three main languages of Sri Lanka, English, Sinhala and Tamil.You can watch this channel on your TV without any monthly fee as it is a free-to-air channel.
